Van Morrison posted another message on his web site addressing the controversy triggered by an earlier posting on the site.  The singer discounted the original post, which claimed he was the father of a newly born child, in a statement attributing the story on his site to a hacker. A subsequent statement included a claim Morrison did not even know the mother of the child.  After it quickly became evident he did, a follow-up release said the denial he knew the woman had been a mistake.  Apparently realizing how badly his damage control attempts have backfired, Morrison has now posted a message that ends with, 'My private life is just that, it is private. I have, in my long career, never spoken about it and I'm not about to start doing so now.  My public communications will always be through my music which is what I am known for.'
