Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Obama's Door

On Feb 10, Bob Dylan and John Mellencamp will join several other performers for an event in the East Room of the White House celebrating the music of the Civil Rights Movement.  Morgan Freeman and Queen Latifah will emcee the evening, which is being presented as part of Black History Month.  Between musical performances by Dylan, Mellencamp,  the Howard University Choir, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend and the Blind Boys of Alabama, excerpts from Civil Rights writings and speeches will be presented.  The event, which will be televised the following night on PBS affiliates, will stream live online the night of the event at www.whitehous.gov starting at 5:15p, Eastern.
