Scorpions has taken the unusual step of announcing the group is disbanding years before it actually happens.  An announcement on the group's web site says the German Hard Rock veterans feel the forthcoming album, Sting In The Tail, measures up to the best work it has ever done and, accordingly, band members have decided to put an end to the band at the conclusion of the upcoming world tour, a trek the site says will include five continents and last 'over the next few years.'  The tour opens May 7 in the homeland city of Leipzig.  Clips of two songs from the forthcoming album can be previewed on the band's site.
