With almost 30 artists involved in a David Bowie tribute album, it is hard to understand why there is not a better representation of well known Rock musicians Bowie influenced during his remarkable career.  The May release includes dozens of artists that most Bowie fans will be hard pressed to even recognize, acts like Exitmusic (Space Oddity), VOICEsVOICEs (Heros), A Place to Bury Strangers (Suffragette City).  The few familar names are far from the kind of A-List artists we would have expected: model, singer, political wife Carla Bruni does Absolute Beginners, Duran Duran covers Boys Keep Swinging and John Frusciante, the Red hot Chili Peppers recently departed guitarist, joins a group called Swahili Blonde on Red Money.
