Springsteen state of confusion

Jackson Browne summed up life on tour well in The Load Out when he sang, 'We've got to drive all night and do a show in Chicago... or Detroit, I don't know, we do so many shows in a row...' Bruce Springsteen was in that state Friday night (11/13) when he came on stage at The Palace in Auburn Hills, Michigan and greeted the crowd by bellowing 'Hello Ohio!'.  The Buckeye state would get few more references before Little Steven pulled Bruce aside for a quick geography update, after which The Boss had Van Zant hit him over the head with the sponge Bruce uses to cool down during sets.  Fans more than forgave Springsteen for his earlier slips when he and the E Street Band ripped into Bob Seger's Ramblin' Gamblin' Man later in the set.
