Tour Takes Toll On Daltrey Voice

One of the most powerful voices in Rock was reduced to a rasp by the time Roger Daltrey closed out his appearance at the House Of Blues in Cleveland Tuesday (11/3).  The Who lead vocalist had to make an early exit soon after apologizing to the full house, saying, "I sound terrible".  He made it through 16 songs, a couple of them shortened versions of Who classics, before running into real trouble during a Johnny Cash medley.  His attempt at Blue, Red & Grey was also cut short, and Daltrey gave up after Born On The Bayou.
