An orchestra backing an artist in the studio or live is nothing new. But Peter Wolf turns things around on Sunday (11/8) in Maine when he stands in with the Portland Symphony. The blues blasting front man for the J. Geils Band won't be singing though. He will be the narrator during a Great Stories to Tell performance that also includes the Portland Ballet Company. Wolf, one of the early DJ's on Boston's legendary WBCN, will be covering for actor Judd Nelson who is sidelined with a leg injury. The J. Geils Band got back together for a handful of concerts this year and will do a New Year's Eve concert at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut (story).
