Congressman Dan Lipinsky, Democrat from Illinois, used some lines from the Styx song Rockin' The Paradise to mark the anniversary of the $700 billion financial bailout vote, one he cast a Nay vote on.  Lipinsky said Dennis DeYoung brought the lyrics from Paradise Theater, a #1 album Styx recorded in a studio in the district Lipinsky represents, to his attention.  The Congressman quoted several lines from the song on the House floor (9/29), starting with “Don’t need no fast buck, lame duck profits for fun, quick trick plans, take the money and run..."  Lipinsky concluded by telling collegues "It's long past time that we 'challenge the schemers who cheat all the rules'".
