The life and legacy of Janis Joplin is said to be wonderfully encapsulated in the documentary Little Girl Blue.  The film, a labor of love for Oscar nominated director Amy Berg, will air on PBS affiliates on Tuesday, May 3 as an episode of the American Masters series.  Footage will be supplemented by extended cut scenes featuring additional performance footage of Janis, along with recently added interviews with the singer's sister, Laura an other vocalists Janis had a profound influence on.
