Many people denounced the choice of Lady Gaga to honor David Bowie with a performance during the Grammy awards show Monday (2/15), but she she silenced a lot of people that scoffed at her being chosen to do the National Anthem at the Super Bowl with a poignant and powerful rendtion of the notoriously difficult song. Whether she is equal to the task of doing justice to Bowie remains to be seen and heard, but sent the world a message that she is more of a Bowie fan than many assume by getting the image of the David from the Aladdin Sane album cover art tattooed onto the left side of her torso, and captioned the Snapchat photo of it being inked on her with, '...this was the image that changed my life'. Her segment in honor of Bowie will also be done with the direction of Nile Rodgers, who collaborated with Bowie on the singer's Let's Dance album (1983).
