Plenty of books about Bruce Springsteen have been published, but The Boss will finally add his own. Simon & Schuster has reportedly awarded Springsteen a $10 million advance on his autobiography, which the publisher will release September 27th. Born To Run, the book, will be a first-person account of 'disarming candor', according to the publisher, and will include insights into 'personal struggles' that played roles in Springsteen's ability to write some of his most compelling songs. Bruce evidently started working on the book early in 2009. A preface from the book has been quoted as saying, 'Writing about yourself is a funny business. But in a project like this, the writer has made one promise, to show the reader his mind. In these pages, I have tried to do this.'
