Cubs manager says AC/DC concert messed up Wrigley infield

There have certainly been times in the long tortured history of the Chicago Cubs when the manager calling his infield  '...totally messed up' could be assumed to be a reference to the team's caliber of play.  But Joe Maddon was talking about the field itself. Wrigley hosted an AC/DC concert on September 15th that caused enough damage to to the infield to make relatively routine ground balls an adventure.  Damage beyond the base paths was so extensive  that all of the outfield turf was replaced following the concert.  With the Cubs in contention for post season play, MLB's hippest manager hopes the Wrigley infield gets enough TLC to rule out the possibility that a bad bounce on a critical play in a crucial game could put his team on the Highway To Hell instead of keeping it on the road to a long longed pennant.
