Noteworthy Now

It took four decades to happen and only lasted 7 songs, but the Faces finally got together. The reunion of Ron Wood, Rod Stewart and Kenny Jones had been close to happening several times in recent years, only to be sidetracked. Sadly, the band's performance at a Saturday (9/5) fund raiser for prostate cancer research came much too late for Ronnie Lane and months too late for Ian McLagan, the keyboard player who had worked hardest to bring the band back together.  Lane died in 1997, McLagan in December of 2014. The seven song set at the Hurtwood Park Polo Club at Ewhurst, Surrey opened with I Feel So Fine, followed by You Can Make Me Dance, Ooh La La, I'd Rather Go Blind, (I Know) I'm Losing You, Stay With Me and Sweet Little Rock n' Roller.
