CSN/CSN&Y drummer Dallas Taylor dies

Dallas Taylor, a member of the California band Clear Light that became best know through his long association with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning (1-18) at his home.  The drummer was 66.  No cause of death was announced.  Taylor played on Crosby,Stills & Nash, the trio's 1969 debut album and was also behind the kit for Deja Vu, the following year's album that also included Neil Young.  He would become the drummer for Manasas, the Stills fronted band that had a brief run in the 70's.  Taylor also performed with Van Morrison and became a touring member of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band.  He had battled substance issues in his life and eventually served as a counselor and intervention specialist in Southern California.
