Dead resurrect holographic Garcia

A few weeks back, we speculated that plans were in the works for something special involving former Grateful Dead members. That something has now come to light, and it doesn't involve just the living members of the group.  Plans have been confirmed to stage a concert on each coast that will reunite the seminal San Francisco group with its departed guitarist. A hologram version of Jerry Garcia will virtually take the stage with the group for concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York and the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. HoJams is rthe company in charge of making the computer generated Garcia a convincing presence for the two shows. CEO Sam Watts says successful shows on the coasts could lead to more being scheduled. The New York and San Francisco shows will draw on Garcia appearances and performances during the late 60's and early 70's.
