Musicians weigh-in on Jack Bruce's death

Eric Clapton took to his Facebook page to let fans know he admired Jack Bruce, who died Saturday (10/25) (story), as '...a great musician and composer', and called his former Cream band mate '...a tremendous inspiration to me.'  Drummer Ginger Baker, who was often at odds with Bruce, passed along his condolences via a fan club notice that read, 'I am very sad to learn of the loss of a fine man, Jack Bruce... My thoughts & wishes are with his family at this difficult time'.  Ringo Starr, who counted Bruce among the revolving players in his All Starr Band, Tweeted, 'We lost Jack Bruce today an incredible musician writer and a good friend peace and love to all his family.' (SIC)  Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath called Bruce 'My biggest influence and favourite bass player' (SIC), while Flea from the Chili Peppers wrote, 'Oh man. Jack Bruce. Too much. Wow. Holy holy. I love that guy. One of a kind greatness. End of an era'.
