One of the last guys you'd expect to go acoustic is doing just that on a new album. Sammy Hagar will release Lite Roast, an album recorded without electric instruments or overdubs. The October 14 release features a number of tracks from Sammy's past including versions of the Van Halen songs Dreams and Finish What Ya Started recorded with guitarist Vic Johnson from Hagar's Waboritas band. The sparse arrangements find some tracks totally solo and others with two guitars, but that's it.
