The dream of pulling together an impressive bunch of artists to record songs in tribute to Paul McCartney came about more than a decade ago while producer Ralph Sall was in the studio with Paul working on an updated version an early solo song by McCartney titled A Love For You.  On November 18 the end result of an 11 year quest to bring the album out will be released.  The lineup and the range of material makes it easy to understand why it took so long to bring it to fruition.  Both 34 and 42 song versions will be released, along with deluxe editions including everything from autographed artwork to a usb drive that is a mini replica of Paul's famous Hofner bass.
