Mark David Chapman has been denied parole for the 8th time. The now 59 year-old who murdered John Lennon outside the builsing the former Beatle and Yoko Ono lived in will be eligible to reapply in two years.  As it has in the past, the board considerg the application concluded Chapman's release would be '...incompatible with the welfare of society and would so deprecate the serious nature of the crime as to undermine respect for the law'.
