Clapton may retire from the road

Less than a week after Eric Clapton made an early exit due to sound problems during a concert in Glasgow (story), the legendary guitarist suggested his touring days could soon be over.  Speaking with Uncut, EC called being on the road 'unbearable', 'unapproachable' and 'hostile'. Given that he probably flies on private luxury jets or first class and makes astronomical amounts for playing less than two hours, it's a little tough to dredge up much sympathy for Eric. What appears to aggravate him as much as anything is his perception that too many once unique places in the world have turned into '...a different version of America'.  Sounds like he's a good part of the way to 'Get off of my lawn!'.
