Wolfgang Van Halen delayed release of his solo debut album until 2021 in order to devote more time and attention to his ailing father. With so many others contending with losses, he decided to share a song that will be on the release that he describes as a open letter to Eddie Van Halen and adds, "While this song is incredibly personal, I think anyone can relate to the idea of having a profound loss in their life." Before becoming one of the biggest acts in Rock, Van Halen was playing almost anyplace it could in SoCal, including an April, 1975 set at Pasadena High School, where the group did a covers heavy set that included songs by Deep Purple, ZZ Top, Edgar Winter and the James Gang. Fortunately, whoever did the sound that night also recorded a board tape.
