Roger Waters is no stranger to controversy, but the former Pink Floyd member faces a harsh backlash over his decision to project a Star of David onto an inflated pig floating above the audience and stage during recent concerts. The barrage of criticism resulting from that has prompted Waters to writ to the Daily Telegraph to defend his position on the Palestinian situation and contend that he has nothing against Jews. The open letter reads, in part, 'Iam vociferous in my support for the Palestinian people's struggle for basic human rights, including their right to self-determination', and adds, 'It is true that I oppose the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and the maintenance of the siege of Gaza. It is not, however, true, that I am an anti-Semite or that I am against the Israeli people.'
