Springsteen doing free Dallas show during NCAA Tourney

The site of a former arena in Dallas will host a free concert by Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band during the Texas City's NCAA College Basketball Tournament week.  The April 6 appearance during the March Madness Music Festival adds Bruce to a lineup that also features performances by Tim McGraw,Jason Aldean amd the Killers. The open-air concert portion of the festival is being staged on the site of the former Reunion Arena, the building that hosted the Final Four the last time it was played in Dallas (1986).  Organizers expect between 30 & 40,000 people to attend.  The Sunday event that closes with the Springsteen set starts at 2pm and is expected to wrap-up with a full set by Bruce and his band starting close to 7pm. The logistics of the event are being complicated by the fact there is a shortage of parking in the area.  Robust shuttle service from other sites will be provided.
