Beatles tribute highlights (spoiler alert)

The Monday (1/27) Beatles tribute taping at the LA Convention Centre ends with a few combinations of artists that should produce covers that won't make fans cringe when CBS airs the special February 9th, the anniversary of the Fab Four's first appearance on the Ed Sulivan Show.  The early going could be rough, with Maroon 5, Alicia Keys, Katy Perry and a host of other pop acts doing their interpretations of Beatle classics, but things get better when Dave Grohl and Jeff Lynne get together for Hey Bulldog.  Joe Walsh and Lynne follow with Something, Grohl, Walsh and Gary Clark Jr. do While My Guitar Gently Weeps, and Stevie Wonder takes on We Can Work It Out. Ringo Starr delivers Matchbox and Yellow Submarine before Paul McCartney emerges to do Magical Mystery Tour, Birthday, Get Back, I Saw Her Standing There and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band. McCartney and Ringo then combine for With A Little Help From My Friends and the previous performers join them on Hey Jude.
