The members of U2 were all in LA to attend the Golden Globes in case their song on the Mandela movies soundtrack earned a Golden Globe, which it did on Sunday night (1/12). Their presence also provided a high profile boost to an organization providing ongoing relief to Haiti. Bono and The Edge joined Haitian artists Anaelle Jean-Pierre on a song during a benefit for the J/P Haitian Relief Organization Saturday nigh tin the Montague Hotel Ballroom in Beverly Hills. Later during the fund raisier, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen emerged with Bono & The Edge and performed I Will Follow, Desire and Vertigo. The brief set marked the first time U2 had performed publically since wrapping up its 360° Tour three years ago. The benefit netted about $6 million.
