Relationships between Robbie Robertson and other members of the Band pretty much tanked when Robertson left the group, but the guitarist claims that he and Levon Helm were '...never not friends.' That said, he and his former drummer seemed to make a point of not crossing paths after the The Last Waltz. In a recent appearance on CBC TV's George Stroumboulpoulos Tonight program, Robertson revealed that he did visit Helm in the hospital shortly before the drummer and vacalist died. The visit came right after the 2012 Rock Hall Of Fame induction ceremony. (Cue to 6:30 for that segment.)
