Paul McCartney and his backing band attracted a big crowd to Hollywood Boulevard for a 15 song free concert Tuesday night (9/24) arranged by the Jimmy Kimmel Show. Opening with Magical Mystery Tour, Paul played a set that included 6 more Beatles songs (Lady Madonna, Birthday,Ob-La-D-Ob-La-Da, Back In The USSR, Day Tripper, Let It Be and Hey Jude), 3 songs on his forthcoming album and 4 titles from previous solo and Wings albums (Junior's Farm, Jet, Another Day and Band On The Run).
The cover and track list for Paul McCartney's next album have been made available through his web site. New will include a dozen tracks and a couple of bonus songs. Production credits go to several people, most notably Giles Martin, son of Beatles producer George Martin. The runtime of the deluxe edition that includes two bonus songs is just over :50 minutes. Paul describes the collection as '... quite varied and not necessarily in a style you'd recognise (sic) as me'.
