The Tuesday (9/11) Bon Jovi concert in Mexico City was cancelled after drummer Tico Torres was taken to a hospital where the drummer underwent an emergency appendectomy. Jon Bon Jovi passed the news along via the band web site in the early hours of Thursday, writing, 'Thankfully, the operation was a success and Tico is now recovering', and went on to thank the physicians and staff at the American British Cowdray Hospital for the care Torres received. Jon says Torres was determined to delay the operation until after the show, but doctors convinced him that doing the concert would pose a serious risk to him. The band hopes to be able to make-up the date.
