On October 16 in '72 Creedence Clearwater Revival issued a press release announcing the end of the band. in 1992 one of the best tribute concerts put together took place at Madison Square Garden to honor Bob Dylan at the 3 decade mark in his career. In 2005 Free/Bad Company frontman Paul Rodgers did his first US date singing lead for Queen. Last year on this date Tom Petty was laid to rest after a memorial service for family and friends in LA.
