Musician's Chelsea Hotel doors bring big bucks

52 doors to rooms at New York's Chelsea Hotel celebrated musicians, writers and artists lived or stayed in collected a lot of impressive bids Thursday (4/12). Bidding for Bob Dylan's topped $100,000, while the door Janis Joplin and Leonard Cohen shacked up behind fetched just over $106k. Jimi Hendrix's brought a top bid of $13,000. Jim Morrison of the Doors door was a relative bargain at just $8,000, while Joni Mitchell's was in higher demand than some expected, with bidding for that reaching $85,000.
