Billy Gibbons Up Close & Personal tour has been scuttled after it became apparent that fans attending the first few dates arrived expecting a lot more music than Gibbons was prepared to play. Their disappointment quickly escalated to increasing numbers of fans requesting refunds. A statement released by Gibbons or a representative attributes confusion about the nature of the appearances to misrepresentations in the marketing done for the tour, which the ZZ Top guitarist agreed to based on it being mostly a spoken presentation in which he would talk about his musical career and his passion for cars. Based on what we know about Billy, we can't believe he shares any responsibility for this unfortunate situation.
