Gary Rossington, the sole surviving original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd, has done his utmost to keep the legendary band going, but it has been a struggle since his health took a serious turn for the worse in 2015. A heart attack sidelined him and the band late that year and related complications disrupted touring again in 2016. The Tallahassee Democrat reported that another medical emergency involving Rosssington was the reason Friday's (11/3) Skynyrd concert in that city's Capital City Amphitheater got cancelled on the day of the show. Also cancelled was the 11/4 date in Lakeland, Florida. .38 Special will step in to fill the group's headline slot at the Rock Fest '80's festival November 5 in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
