Yoko Ono is reportedly working with producer Michael De Luca on a film about her relationship with John Lennon and their engagement in political and anti-war causes. De Luca says the intent is to release a movie that will encourage young people to become active. The director issued a statement about the movie Wednesday (2/2) stating in part, 'The story will focus on ripe and relevant themes of love, courage and activism in the U.S. - with the intention of inspiring today's youth to stand up for and have a clear vision for the world they want." De Luca would seem well suited to direct it. His credits include The Social Network, Moneyball and Captain Phillips. Our hope would be the film contains little or no singing by Ono.
