The White House has announced that Bruce Springsteen will receive the Medal of Freedom. The Boss will join actors Tom Hanks, Robert DeNiro, Cicely Tyson, Robert Redford, comedian/talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, basketball legends Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul Jabba and legendary baseball announcer Vin Scully, Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels, Bill & Melinda Gates and others in the worlds of science and academics in receiveing the nation's highest civilian award. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday (11/22) at the White House.
