The first of two Neil Young albums with Crazy Horse expected out this year is scheduled for a June 5th release. Ameircana features Neil and his on and off again backing band for the first time in a decade delivering stripped down takes on traditional American tunes Young says '...we all knew from kindergarten' - and he's not kidding. We're talking Oh Susannah, Tom Dooley, She'll Be Comin' 'Round the Mountain and eight other tunes. Rolling Stone magazine reports that Young has schooled himself on the history of the songs included on the record and provides the historic background to each in the album liner notes.
