Allmans Run At Beacon Shines

The annual Allman Brothers Band run of dates at he Beacon Theatre always attracts a good number of guest musicians.  Fans attending the St. Patrick's Day performance were treated to appearances by Gregg Allman Band keyboard player Bruce Katz joining the group on The Sky Is Crying and Statesboro BluesRandall Bramblett emerged tocontribute sax work on Desmonda and returned during the acoustic portion of the second set to join Vermont Rocker Grace Potter on a version of the Fleetwood Mac song Gold Dust Woman, a tune Potter includes occasionally in sets with her own band, The Nocturnals, and one she has done with Warren Haynes and Gov't Mule in the past (video)Potter also stuck around to share vocals with Haynes and play organ alongside Bramblett on what we hear was a killer version of Neil Young's Southern Man.
