U2 Bass Player In A Bind

Adam Clayton's efforts to get back a bundle of money he claims was pilfered from his account by a former assistant over a five year period (story) can only go forward if the bass player is willing to disclose his expenses - a glimpse into his lifestyle U2 member might not be willing to make part of the public record. Clayton's contention that he was taken for several million dollars by Carol Hawkins also seeks damages from a bank for failing to detect the misappropriations.  The judge hearing the case has ruled that Clayton has to turn over documents to the defense including credit card statements, check book records and other disbursements relating to his personal financial activity between the spring of 2004 and the fall of 2009.
