In 2008, Cream veteran Jack Bruce hooked-up with Living Colour front man Vernon Reid, John Medeski of Medeski, Martin & Wood, and Cindy Blackman to create a tribute to Tony Williams, drummer with Miles Davis and founder of the Tony Williams Lifetime, whose life was cut short by a heart attack at the age of only 51.  Spectrum Road did a series of tribute concerts to Williams in Japan during 2008 and got together again last year for shows both coasts of the US. Blackman, who backed Lenny Kravitz for the better part of a decade and last year married Carlos Santana, Bruce, Medeski and Reid's combined talents attracted so many positive reviews that the group has charted a series of appearances for this summer and will release an album of original material on June 5.  Get a look and listen to the kind of music to expect here.
