Blues Legend Gets Road Recognition

Mississippi State House members voted Thursday (2/23) to honor Blues legend Robert Johnson by naming a stretch of Interstate 55 that runs through the country Johnson lived in during his early years in his honor.  The distinction comes just hours after President Barack Obama joined living legends BB King and Buddy Guy on a rendition of Johnson's Sweet Home Chicago during a celebration of Blues music at the White House. Johnson remains a tremendous influence on musicians, including Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Guy Clark Jr, Warren Haynes and countless others.
