Just a few days after news that the last apartment Doors lead singer Jim Morrison lived in before he moved to Paris in 1971 was available to rent (story)comes news that another LA house he once called home was nearly destroyed during the outbreak of arson that rocked the region Thurdsay night (12/29). Fire fighters responding to one of nearly two dozen deliberately set car fires arrived to find that flames from a torched Mazda Miata had ignited the balcony of a house Morrison had lived in on Rothdell Trail in West Hollywood.  The address is thought to have inspired Morrison when he wrote the song Love Street.  One fire fighter was injured while fighting the blaze, which was brought under control before substantial damage was done to the home.
