Southern Rock fans will want to add the Excalibur resort to their Vegas plans. Thursday (12/8) the center of the gambling universe in North America celebrated the grand opening of  the Lynyrd Skynyrd Bar, BBQ and Beer saloon with an appearance by the band.  Group members joined the head Master Distiller from Jack Daniels at a special luncheon in the new establishment.  It's more comfortable than the original Jacksonville, FL Hell House, the joint that inspired the theme and atmosphere for the eatery and music venue.  Packed with displays of band owned instruments and other memorabilia and featuring a bar constructed using 100+ year old wood from barns, the place provides a down home setting for Texas BBQ pit master Keith Schmidt to work his magic.  Proceeds from the opening night concert by the band were donated to the Epicurean Charitable Foundation and the Nevada Medical Center.
