Promotion for the Wednesday (11/30) Grammy nomination special was ripe with references to a Van Halen appearance, including a Tweet telling Twitter subscribers to be ready to 'Jump & Dance The Night Away' with a reuniting band.  A press release also promised a 'live announcement from an iconic group' that will perform on the Feb 12 telecast.  The special came and went without a performance or even an announcement.  We don't know where the fault lies, but VH's credibility has nose-dived in recent months due to several conflicting reports about album and tour plans.  But don't discount the possibility that all the blame belongs to the Grammy organization or some social media PR hound.
