Rod Stewart has signed on to headline a day of the Hard Rock Calling festival in London's Hyde Park in June.  While the announcement did not make mention of Jeff Beck, Stewart may have alluded to the guitar great making an appearance with his one-time Jeff Beck Group vocalist when he said his June 25 set would include '...a whole lot of music and more than a few surprises'.  The idea of ripping into songs from Truth and Beck-Ola is infinitely more interesting than the prospect of Stewart plodding through songs like Do Ya Think I'm Sexy or his American Songbook that could get him booed or laughed off the stage at an event like HRC. Beck and Stewart have been making plans for a Blues-Rock album and discussing the possibility of live dates (story).  What would make the occasion even better would be that too long deferred Faces reunion (story).
