Hard core Pink Floyd fans can add vinyl pressings of Syd Barrett rarities to their collection on Record Store Day 2011.  The annual day established to help raise the profile of the remaining independent  music stores takes place April 16 this year.  Among the special releases being prepared for release on that day is a double gatefold album version of An Introduction To Syd Barrett, a compilation released in other formats in the fall of last year.  The collection, which was produced by David Gilmour, includes 18 tracks and will be available in limited quantities on 180g pressings.
