Slash & Burn in Dallas

Green Bay and Pittsburgh fans can probably agree on two things about the Super Bowl: It ended up being a decent game (something there was serious doubt about when the first half of the opening half was about as impressive as a high school scrimmage), and the half time entertainment absolutely sucked.  As marginal as the Who was at last year's game, even they came across better than the Black Eyed Peas did on Sunday (2/6)
True, we're not fans of the BEP, but we have caught live clips of them here and there that  proved they have talent and made it easy understand why they are big stars.  The medley the group did in Dallas featured the songs that have made them huge but the musical credibility of a Village People performance - and the cheese ball dancers to go along with it.
Unfortunately, the rumor that Slash would participate in the debacle proved to be true.  Maybe he figured that lending his guitar work to the Peas clip of Sweet Child Of Mine will get Axl Rose to apologize to him, something the guitarist says will have to happen if there is going to be a Guns N Roses reunion.  If a GNR reunion will prevent Slash from trashing his reputation by making appearances like the one in Dallas, we hope Axl takes him up on that.
