A great time went bad in an instant during the finale of the Jimmy Buffett concert at Sydney Austrailia's Hordern Pavallion Wednesday (1/26) when the singer disappeared into the pit between the front of the stage and the audience.  Intense lighting effects may have prevented Buffett from being able to see the front edge of the stage as he walked toward it.  Fans told TMZ it appeared Buffett had hit his head on a metal object during the fall of several feet, and may have lost consciousness for several minutes.  Buffett was evacuated to St. Vincents Hospital, where he was admitted for observation, but was later released after receiving stitches for a head injury. The singer and his Coral Reefer Band have canceled the sole remaining concert on the Down Under schedule, an Auckland NZ show Saturday.  Jimmy knows a lot of shrimpers... maybe some giant nets slung like hammocks over the pit are in order for future tours.
