Speculation last fall that Van Halen had imminent recording plans were met with denials from the band.  A new round of rumors got legs with a greater degree of credibility if a recent post on a Twitter account most sources believe belongs to producer John Shanks means what they hope it does.  A cryptic and non specific reference to VH was all it took to get several outlets to start buzzing about a new Van Halen album project.  Last year's rumors got doused by band representatives almost as fast as they surfaced, so the fact no denials have been issued by anyone in the inner circle to these reports could mean it's true this time around.
