Divorce papers filed on behalf of John Mellencamp in Brown County, Indiana last week reference a pre-nup, details of which are not likely to see the light of day, a statement for the record that the soon-to-be exes plan to both continue their parenting roles for their children in Indiana, and a stipulation that John wants his wife of nearly 18 years to revert to using just Irwin as her last name and no longer use Irwin-Mellencamp.  Maybe she'll push John's buttons by switching to Elaine Cougar-Irwin.
