U2 has been maligned for shifting some business dealings to other countries as a means of avoiding taxes in Ireland - a maneuver some claim is based on simple greed and others defend as a matter of principle. The truth to which of those is true may be the same as the answer to whether Bono is a megalomaniac or just a cool guy: 'Both'.  Either way or both, this is pretty cool... U2 is donating nearly $8 million to help foster musical development in Irish school children.  One goal of the investment is to try and discover and encourage musically gifted kids. The Music Generation program is helping thousands of young people in Dublin and Donegal already, and will be able to expand into several other parts of the Emerald Isle thanks in part to the support of the band.
