While other members of Aerosmith are left to ponder how to keep the band a viable entity, Steven Tyler is making the rounds to stoke the hype machine for American Idol.  The Aerosmith front man appears on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno Tuesday (1/11) and a week later will occupy the guest seat next to David Letterman.  Other band members have sucked it up and done the best they can to refrain from continuing to say what they really think about Tyler's decision to leave Aerosmith in the lurch while he cashed in on the personal PR and monetary benefits of a judging role with Idol. All involved are doing their best to put a positive spin on a situation that is anything but from everyone other than Tyler's perspective.
